Hey Everyone,
So Bishop finally invited us over to his house for dinner. Now that was a great night!! all i remember from that night was laughter. they are a great family!
WE went and saw Sister Owen. its so sad because she is quickly going down hill and i just love her so much! She has a strong testimony, and she has so much faith in her Father in Heaven. we went and watched the video called "the Savior understands me" by Elder Holland. it was so good. she also sang her a song. Joseph Smiths first prayer to the tune of 'If you could hie to kolob."
it was so awesome! the spirit was so strong. even though it was to a different tune Sister Owen still sang with us. shes an awesome lady!
We left our mission boundries to get to Alzeda Montana where a member of our ward lives. that was so much fun! they live on a ranch in the middle of no where. we got to go walking in the mud to pet their animals. we taught them from 1Cor15-16. basically the last half of the plan of salvation.! we talked about why we need to change. we need to change and be clean so that we can live with God and Jesus Christ! we didnt get home til around 945 cause its about 1.5 hours away! but none the less so much fun! I can now say i have left the mission and came back!
We had lunch at the Whatleys again. Brother Whatley makes the best food,. we talked about member missionary work and how no effort is wasted. cause its not. you have given them(non members or LA) a clear choice. we need to diligently move forward. you have planted seeds and given them a chance. people are being prepared to recieve the restored gosple. it may not be their time right now but you could be helping them. keep inviting!!
WE ACTUALLY FINISHED WEEKLY PLANNING IN TWO DAYS!
we had a really good District meeting! it was our last one all together. #sad.
i have learned that we either can enjoy our mission or endure them. i choose enjoy because we are only given this one chance. i want to beable to cherish every moment!
OK SO we had a lesson with Domingo again at the Langfits! it went sooooo good! we talked about baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost. that whole lesson was good. he asked questions and understood it BUT at the end we invited him to pray by himself. of course he said no and after like 30 min of talking and pushin(lovingly) him, we found out why he didnt. he said he really wanted too but because of his spanish accent he couldnt say "heavenly". after we explained that he didnt need to say that and he could say whatever, he prayed. it was so amazing. His prayer was really good! i couldnt help but tear up. one of my favorite things he said was "please give me the power to do what is right" like DOMINGO YES! i love that man!
we had a free lemonade stand in the park with Elder Porter and Memmott. it was so much fun! we gave away free Lemonades with BOM and pamphlets! we got to talk to alot of awesome people that hopefully we can start teaching! we had signs that said "Honk if you love Jesus!"
we got alot of those!! hah #honk!
we gave Doming a church tour and he loved it. it was so fun! the Langfits ended up coming to, so that helped him alot more aswell.
we had a lesson with our other gator Bill Coutts. we had dinner and a lesson at the stednicks. we read the 1 chapter of 1 Nephi. he kept getting off topic and just really didt pay attention to what we were saying. he baked us apple pie, that was good. Sister Stednick made some beef and Deer, and lo-mein. that was sooo good!! we invited him to church and he said no. which, if you dont want to come to church then we cant help you if youre not wanting to act, and try.
so we are not sure what we are going to do yet.
Sunday Domingo came to church!!! that was such a miracle! we(us and the elders) sang in church. we sang the same song that we sung to sister Owen. BUt we did it accapella. how crazy are we. lol it went good, said the ward members. Sister whatley gave pillowcases she mad with our names on them! they are so cute! i forgot to get a picture of them but ill try and get one.
we then tracted alot. we found a dude that has taken lessons before when he was younger, but hes not really into now, but he still took a BOM so theres a blessing. we took with us tracting a laurel from yw. that was so fun! shes going to make a great missionary when shes older!
Bishop invited us over for FHE at his house so we went there. we talked about Mothers. we talked about the things that make our mothers awesome, and all that. I just Love my Mother so much! it made me a bit homesick but not really aswell cause i know that the Lord is taking good care of her and my family!
so transfer news, Sister D'Vaz is going home, sister week and i are staying comps. in Belle Fourche, and they are closing down alot of areas including Spearfish(the elders area) so Goodbye Elder Porter and Spillett! sad sad day!
