Week 1 Dec. 14, 2014

So ive been in the mission field for one week! i honestly love it so much. i have grown so much more than i have in the past 19 years of my life.
the first day here was a thing. haha we got here and went straight to the work. it was awesome. i saw my good friend Maisie, and about 15 other people that i know. its crazy.
So the second day started off with no alarm, literally. our alarms didnt go off so we were up at 710. haha no good. so we got a mini fridge in our room that day aswell, thank you diabetes. everyone was jealous. it was funny. there was an elder in our zone before they left name Elder Ita an he was this big tongan. i love him. he was sooooo funny. he was super jealous of the fridge and my access car to the cafeteria(24/7 access) hahah i miss that whole district. but today we get two more in our zone and its awesome! i love welcoming in the new missionaries. its so fun to say "WELCOME TO THE MTC!!!!" about a 100 times. thats how many times i was told. me and my companions, sister carlisle and sister will were made the sister training leaders in our zone. and i was made zone music cordinator ( or how ever you spell that.) we met our branch presidency and wives. theyre all super awesome. on our second day we had met our first role play investigator. which is basically our teacher role playing. it was super scary, but i soon started to see him as a real investigator and love him. his name was matthew. the teachers we have are super awesome and have strong testimonies. they are Bro. Croft, and Bro Farr. i loveee them!!! when we first taught matthew he was super open and willing to hear what we had to say.
the third day was super super awesome. we taught matthew again about the Plan of Salvation so he could know that he could see him mom again. I love my didstrict so much! its just me and my companions and 4 elders. E. Byrd, E. Hamblin, E. Gibson, E. Oberhansly. each person here has a strong testimony and i look up to all of them. being in a tripanionship is super hard and we did have challenges these past 2 days but im super glad to have them as companions. i got my first dear elder and package that day too, THANKS MOM!! yall should Dear Elder me!!! my info should be on my facebook. if not ill somehow get it to yall,,, if ya want! our personal study time was so amazing that night. the spirit was super strong and i could see the light of Christ shining from every single person.
The next day we had gym time. its sooo much fun. we play volley ball everyday and let me tell you, i have never had so much fun playing that game til now.. watch out peeps im coming home with serious vb skills. haha jk i still suck. the elders in our district gave us priesthood blessings that night for comfort and im so greatful for them. they are amazing.
The first sunday in the MTC was different but awesome. since our zone was super small(not anymore) it was almost awkward. we had an awsome devotional that night as well. the BYUs men Chorus came and sang to us. i saw the stake presidents son in there too! they were so awesome.
so monday.... it was a rough day. we had our first TRCs( our first investigators) we had two older ladies, Pamela and Sydney. they are so sweet. I love them, every since the first time we talked. This was the day when i felt very upset. i felt like i wasnt a very good missionary and teacher compared to my companions. sometimes its hard for me and sister Will to get a word into the lesson. sister carlisle like to take charge and talk the whole time. but we had companion invitory and talked about it. its all good. but the lessons worked well, out investigators felt the spirit and we did aswell. its not about us, its about them.
Yesterday was like that aswell, until the devotional that night. we had a wonderful lesson from bor Farr and bro Croft. i love those two teachers!we taught a new role play investigator(aka bro Farr) his name was BK. we was super open and willing as well. we taught our TRCs again that was the day we NEEDED that comp. invitory. we played volley ball again but it wasnt much fun cause the other district in our zone left to the field. i will miss them alot. theyre my favorite. So our devotional tonight was super awesome. the district and i participated in the MTC Choir. it was fun! so guess who came and gave a talk here!!!!????
Elder Jeffery R. Holland came!!! like fangirl over here!! he was soo amazing. it was such a great opportunity to have one of the Lords chosen apostles here! to be in the same room as him was super cool. the things that really stuck out to me was, the path that leads to salvation goes through Gethsemane. and we need to just me our best selves. He explained the mission life as hard. our Brother Jesus Christ willingly gave up everything, so the least we could do is give up alittle. I love that man. i Challenge you all to read Alma 26. and i promise that you will all revieve the blessings promised if you have faith in Him. I love you all so much and will try to send pictures later. Oh for a bonus i have a video of Elder Gibson, and elder in my district, riding the rocking chair as a bull. hes such a nooooooob.

love
